Description:  Building behind 611 was N&W's passenger station from the time N&W left Union Station in downtown Lynchburg in December 1964 until N&W service ended with the advent of Amtrak May 1, 1971. Amtrak's Mountaineer and Hilltopper stopped here. March 25, 1975 - Sep. 30, 1979.
